Charter > Off Shore

Catches of the Day: 5 Yellow Tail 10 Bonito

We had a great group of high school teachers on board this week that wanted to get out and do some local inshore fishing before the school year got back underway.

We spoke about an offshore program, but it has been a bit slow on that unless you were heading 50 or 60 miles west and they wanted to stay local and not do a long boat ride.

Left the slip at 5 am and pointed the boat to the Coronados for some epic yellowtail fishing for the guys!

We arrived at 6:30 with not a lot of boat pressure because of it being monday, but as you can imagine the seals were waiting for us as they could careless what day of the week it is on there fishing grounds!!

Water was a beautiful and lots of birds working the north island as we pulled into the ground. I asked the boys to get baits back as we slow troll into the grounds for a quick hook up on some nice size bones.

Not to long after it was game on, we had a few hooked and a few lost to props and spit hooks..

Our right hand man (Duane) played Joe Montana all morning as he did perfect hand off’s to the seals with bonita as we picked away at some very good yellowtail fishing for a good 2 hours.

We got 6 in the bag and loss a few and decided to look offshore for some other fish for the guys bag for a bit.

Found 1 kelp for 1 dorado and after a nice dance it came unbutton..

Water looked very good out side again with temps back up to 72.5, should be another body of fish soon close to home!

Thanks again guys for fishing with Seasons Sportfishing!
