Catches of the Day: 3 Yellow Tail

We had our first offshore trip of the season and kicked it off with perfect weather to make the run south west after getting set up in our new home in SD, it was time to go hunt for blue water.

As grey came into the picture and our first signs of life about 50 + from the point we start to look at a current break of kelps.

Water was still 64 but we gave it a shot and pulled up on a nice kelp and went to work, first bait in the water gets picked up and the gaff went into the first offshore yellow for us this season!

We continued to work a few kelps in the area and put a handful of nice grade yellows on deck for the crew.

Big smiles and high fives for everyone!

Could not be more excited to make the run and be rewareded after last years battle offshore, fingers cross we get a good season this year!

Thanks guys for fishing with Seasons Sportfishing and looking forward to our next trip later in the season.
